The Litter is Two Weeks Old

Eyes opening... still a bit blurry. Legs beginning to find out what it is they must do. Ears beginning to pick up sounds. Mom trying her best to keep everything "under control". Can it be cuter? Probably not, if you like puppies. Christy continues to patiently care for the bunch and supply the yummy drinks that keep this crew plump and happy. Here's a great video for you to enjoy.

Tux X Christy Litter, One Week Old

AKC CH Sherbil's Tophat and Tails CD RN
X Sherbil's Christmas Traveler produced a litter of seven puppies. This litter was whelped on July 10, 2009 and produced all four standard Aussie colors. There were three female Black Tri, two male Red Merle, one male Red Tri, and one female Blue Merle. The pups are healthy, active, and growing rapidly.

The Litter Pedigree

These puppies promise to have great temperaments and body structure. They are destined to enjoy careers in performance, conformation and loving family homes.

Christy is a calm, attentive and healthy mother. She has no problem with people handling her puppies. The pups are handled and stimulated daily to encourage positive development. They are gaining weight rapidly and growing "according to schedule".

Several of the pups are already slated for their new homes. This is an exciting time...decisions, decisions. Which boy will follow us home? There are three to choose from and since Tux is our boy, we will have "pick of the litter". In any case a "redhead" is a given. But which one?

Introducing Tuxedo

I am starting this blog because Tux is a great dog and deserves recognition!

On July 10, 2009 he became a dad and one of his sons will come to live with all of us once he is "of age". We are very excited to welcome the little one to our family.
As of today we aren't sure exactly which son we will take, but that's what this blog is about!
We will keep you posted on our decision and the process that we go through.
Tuxedo may have something to "say" about this, we'll see!

To start, Tux was whelped on May 1, 2005. His sire was the famous "Player" (AKC/ASCA CH Hi Desert Playing for Keeps) and his dam was "Callisto" (Callisto Hand Maiden of Selene). He was born in New Mexico, bred by Ralph Wintersberger of Tijeras.
Tux continues to make his home in Edgewood, NM and is co-owned by E. Vinogradov and S. Cooper of Sherbil's Kennel.

Tuxedo is an AKC Champion and is ASCA major pointed.
He is professionally handled by Sergio Espejo in the AKC Conformation ring and began his conformation career by taking Best of Winners and Best of Opposite over specials in an October, 2007 AKC show in Alamogordo, NM. In Tulsa, on November 3, 2007, he took his first 5 point AKC major. He got his second major 2 weeks later in Tucson. Tux finished his AKC CH in Big Spring, Texas on May 3, 2008 under Judge Alane L. Gomez. Between May 2008 and May 2009 he took 6 Best of Breed wins with Sergio Espejo! Way to go!

Tuxedo has been handled by Cameron Leopold, Kim Raleigh, Traci Galemore & Evelyn Vinogradov in the ASCA conformation ring. On March 9, 2008 he took his first ASCA major under AKC Judge Steve Schorr. In August, 2008 he took his 2nd ASCA major at the "3 Pines Ranch Classic". He got his 3rd Major Win on March 14, 2009. Needs just 2 minor pts to finish in ASCA.Tux is handled by Evelyn in the Obedience and Rally rings and has achieved his Rally Novice and CD titles.
